In summer there are few places that can match Austria, and particularly Bad Mitterndorf, as a destination for a walking or cycling holiday. Located at the heart of a wide, relatively flat valley and surrounded by breathtaking scenery, there are over 120 km of marked walking paths to suit all levels of fitness. Being in the Austrian Lake District, you easily can go for a day-trip to one of the many beautiful crystal-clear lakes for swimming, windsurfing, sailing, or a trip on the lake steamer on some of the larger lakes.

Bad Mitterndorf is one of the main places to stay for skiers wishing to enjoy the Tauplitzalm ski area, a sunny mountain terrace, mainly in alpine terrain and mostly above the treeline. In the surrounding area there are over 200 km of beautifully prepared cross-country skiing tracks!

Haus Brichta is quietly situated near the edge of a forest. The centre of the village is a 10 minutes walk away, ski run, ski bus, cross-country ski run and the road to Tauplitzalm are a 3 minutes walk away.

After an active day in our beautiful mountain landscape you can enjoy either to merrily sit together with your family in the spacious living room with fireplace or you possibly prefer relaxing comfortably and undisturbed in one of the other rooms.

Your children will be contented with their own living/bedroom upstairs with plenty of space to play. There they can feel like in their own kingdom.

You will perceive it as a pleasure to prepare meals in our fully equipped kitchen.The dining corner is perfect for cozy family meals.
